ARTIFICIAL AIDS AND LIMBS WORKSHOP

Artificial limbs and aids to help the disabled to carry out their day to day work and to increase their mobility are manufactured in the Society's P. R. Vadhar Workshop. Thousands of Calipers, Orthoshoes, Crutches, Tricycles, wheel chairs, artificial foot and hand etc. are distributed at charitable rates or free of cost to needy and economically underprivileged beneficiaries every year. The workshop has a Research and Development wing where Endoskeletal Prabha Foot with a special device which helps to sit cross legged is developed. "Electronic Upper Limb", which is cost effective and useful, is also being developed. Technology-know-how is also transferred to other institutions in India and abroad for which infrastructure is being created at the Society to impart on the job necessary training to the skilled as also unskilled Technicians, Supervisors, and Engineers who are coming from such Institutions from India and abroad.


PHYSIO-OCCUPATIONALTHERAPY CENTER:
Lacs of patients suffering from Polio, Cerebral Palsy, Pseudo-muscular Dystrophy, Hemiplegia, Quadriplegia, Arthritis, Pain in Joints, Slip Disc, Neck pain, Cervical spondylitis, Myasthenia gravis, Macrocephaly, Hydrocephaly, Fracture contracture etc., all facing very difficult and painful situation. To control, prevent and avoid such disabilities and to rehabilitate the disabled, the Society has Physio therapy and Occupational therapy centers. Amongst other things the center has modern facilities like Ultrasonic therapy, Suspension therapy, Wax therapy, Infra-ultra rays, Short wave diathermy, Stimulation etc. Lodging and boarding facilities are available for patients coming from outside.

C.P.Center:

For economical and social rehabilitation of C. P. Children, the Society has a C.P.Center with modern facilities for treatment and training of C. P. Children.
